Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will observe its 16th pastoral anniversary honoring Rev. Darrell J. Martin starting with a musical celebration at 7 p.m. Saturday with special guests Sensational Hearts, Future Generation and more. Sunday at 11 a.m., the guest speaker will be Rev. Robert Key, associate minister of Lampkin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, and at 3 p.m. the guest speaker will be Rev. Larry C. Battles, pastor of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church.

New Home Missionary Baptist Church, 3000 S. Orange St., will hold its 11th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The special guests will be Rev. Amelio Howard and the Grace Temple Baptist Church.

Lampkin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1200 E. 26th Ave., will hold its 111th church anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Edward Alexander, pastor of Washington Avenue Missionary Baptist Church of Springfield, Mo. The worship leader will be Rev. Deshawn Collins.

Pleasant View Ministries Church, 1117 N. Palm St., will observe its 26th anniversary honoring the pastor and wife, Rev. William A. Shaw Jr. and Tonya Shaw, at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Esau Watson Jr., bishop and pastor of Judah Restoration Worship Center.

Smith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3006 Kentucky St., will hold its annual usher day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Robert Willis Jr., pastor of Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Kings Highway Missionary Baptist Church, 2312 Fluker St., will hold its annual mothers and deaconesses service at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest minister will be Rev. Gabriel Jackson of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Eternal Life Ministry, 503 Pryce St., will hold its church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Shelia Moore, a pastor from North Little Rock.

Regenerated Missionary Baptist Church, 1401 E. Sixth Ave., will hold its seventh anniversary program at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Alderman Steven Mays of Pine Bluff.

True Worshippers Apostolic Church, 106 N. Bloom St., will hold its 25th church anniversary at 2 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be A.D. Ford, apostle and pastor of House of Prayer Pentecostal Church of Little Rock.

Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 3700 W. 13th Ave., will hold its mass choir annual at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Timothy Pratt of Wheeler Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Greater Battle Chapel Baptist Church of Altheimer will observe its 14th anniversary program honoring its pastor and wife, Rev. Elbert Harris Jr. and Kathy Harris, at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Ulyssess Dunlap Sr. of Corinth Baptist Church of Sherrill and Jerusalem # 1 Baptist Church of Altheimer.

New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Dumas will hold its annual choir day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Donald Manning, pastor of Thomas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Gould.

Family Time Baptist Church and Ministries, 501 Ohio St., will hold its annual family and friends day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Kim D. Mixon, bishop and pastor of Victory Faith Church.

Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Moscow will hold its 145th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The special guests will be Rev. Anthony L. Craig and the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church of Pine Bluff.

Men’s/Women’s Day

New Jerusalem #2 Missionary Baptist Church, 1005 W. 12th Ave., will hold its Women in Red program at 3 p.m. Sunday. The keynote speaker will be Tonya Boyce.

First Missionary Baptist Church of Ladd will hold its men’s day/male chorus anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Leon Williams Sr., pastor of True Vine “E” Missionary Baptist Church.

Concerts

Bethany Baptist Church, 7122 Sheridan Road, will host a concert at 6 p.m. Saturday. The featured guests will be The Kinsmen Quartet, Johnny Parrack and Triumphant and Heavenly Harmony.

Grant County First Southern Baptist Church, 6111 Highway 270 East, will hold a gospel singing at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The featured guests will be Just By Faith.

Old Morning Star Baptist Church, 3116 Port Road, will present the Old Ship of Zion musical at 7 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Isom Cross of Union Baptist of Dumas.

The 67th anniversary of the Mighty Truelights program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at New Hope CME Church, 901 E. 21st Ave. At 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 4800 W. Sixth Ave., guests will include New Beginning Singers, White Singers, Spiritualettes, Williams Singers, Soul Revivers, and many more.

Mt. Bayou Baptist Church of Altheimer will hold a musical benefit program honoring Belinda Gipson-Parker and Kim Whitmore-Robinson at 7 p.m. Saturday. The special guests will be Nu Beginners and it is sponsored by the Southeast Arkansas Community Mass Choir.

Special Events

New Home Missionary Baptist Church, 3000 S. Orange St., will hold Thursday Night Live worship service at 7 p.m. Thursday. The special guests will be Rev. Frank Harris and the New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

New Cheeks Chapel AME Church of Sherrill will host the monthly worship service of the Pastoria Singing Union at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Mt. Carmel Baptist Missionary Baptist Church, 900 S. Grant St., will hold a benefit program honoring Evelyn Breedlove at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Greater Deliverance Global Ministry, Ramada Plaza, #2 Convention Center Drive, will host the Apostles Gathering at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The guest speakers will be Belinda Helms, an apostle of Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church of Jacksonville, and Dennis Cook, an apostle of Transformation Center International of Texarkana.

Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Grady will sponsor a benefit program honoring Lucille Harris at 7 p.m. Saturday. Several choirs and singing groups will be there.

Kingdom Builders Outreach Church of God in Christ, 3105 S. Apple St., will hold an appreciation program honoring Anthony Foots at 6 p.m. Saturday. The mistress of ceremony will be Melissa Henry-Mack.

Meadowview Baptist Church, 7900 Middle Warren Road, will hold a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. today. The cost will be $12 for adults, $6 for children and free for children 5 and under.

Bethlehem Worship Center of Dumas will hold a mortgage burning pre-celebration at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Guests include The Traveling Kings, Shaddai, Echoes of Harmony, Cindy Patton, Eastside Deliverance, and more.

Breaking the Chains Women’s Conference will be held at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Star City starting at 7 p.m. Friday. On Sept. 28, there will be a women’s luncheon at the Star City Civic Center at 9 a.m. and musical at 5:30 p.m. At 4 p.m. Sept. 29, the service will climax and the featured guest will be national recording artist Ruby Francis Terry, an evangelist of Saints Memorial Church of God in Christ of Lake Charles, La.

Youth

New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1026 Missouri St., will hold its annual youth day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speakers will be Stephen Witherspoon of True Vine “E” Missionary Baptist Church and Braylin Little of Old Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
