Raeshawn Howard, associate minister of Lampkin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, will be the 11 a.m. guest speaker. Rev. James E. Jones, pastor of Monumental Baptist Church of Elmira, N.Y., will be the 3 p.m. guest speaker.

New Fellowship Baptist Church, 17th Avenue and Cypress Street, will celebrate its church anniversary Sunday starting at 9 a.m. The Rev. Brian Castle, pastor of Indiana Street Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Prairie Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 2611 Indiana St., will celebrate the eighth anniversary of its pastor and wife, Rev. Alvin and Fleshia Lowe, Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. George Glass, pastor of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Barnes Temple Church of God In Christ, 10301 Princeton Pike, will hold its annual building fund day at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Elder Paul Robinson, pastor of Acts 2:4 Church of God In Christ of Little Rock, will be the guest speaker.

New Home Missionary Baptist Church, 2900 S. Catalpa St., will hold its annual usher’s program Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Charles Boyd, pastor of First Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Barnett Chapel Missionary Chapel Church, 1321 N. Birch St., will hold its 107th church anniversary Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Brian Castle, pastor of Indiana Street Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Lightwood Missionary Baptist Church of Haley will celebrate the sixth anniversary of its pastor and wife, Rev. A.G. and Bert Green, Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Clarence Cartwright, pastor of Zion Family Church, will be the guest speaker.

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Altheimer will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its pastor and wife, Rev. Fred and Freddie Mae Johnson, Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Ulysses Dunlap, pastor of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church and Jerusalem #1 Missionary Baptist Church of Altheimer, will be the speaker.

Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church will be celebrating the 21st pastoral anniversary of Rev. Johnny Smith Jr. Sunday at 3 p.m. The program will be held at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church ,2121 W. 26th Ave. The guest preacher will be Rev. Frank E. Ray Sr., recording artist and pastor of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn.

St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church of Sherrill will celebrate its eighth youth choir anniversary Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Holcomb Jr., pastor of Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Greater Ward Chapel AME Church, 3700 W. Sixth Ave., will hold its annual Stewardess Day at 4 p.m. Sunday. The evangelist will be Sandra Gaynor, co-pastor of Greater Deliverance Global Ministries of Pine Bluff.

Concerts/Musicals

Old St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 1307 W. 16th, will host the Spiritual Wings of Joy’s album release celebration Sunday at 6 p.m.

Union Baptist Church of Altheimer will host a musical benefit program for Leviorn Harris and Phyllis Louthers Saturday at 7 p.m. The Southeast Arkansas Community Mass Choir is the sponsor.

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Moscow will host a 100 voice concert Sunday at 7 p.m.

Family Time Baptist Church Ministries, 501 Ohio St., will host the founders day celebration of the Arkansas State Quartet Interdenominational Convention Inc. Sunday at 7 p.m. Guest groups include Men In Christ, Union Choir, Spiritualettes, Rice Spirituals, and the Mighty True Lights. Rev. Ramon Hunter, pastor of St. Luke Church of Sherrill, will bring the words of encouragement.

Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 2507 Hill St, will host the 11th annual musical concert Saturday at 6:30 p.m., featuring Righteous. Special guests will include Derrick Gibbs, Steven “Spud” Howard, Doris Donley, and Meredith Morton.

Immanuel Baptist Church, 1801 W. 17th Ave., will host a concert for the Heavenly Harmony Trio, Sunday at 6 p.m. There is no charge for admission.

St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church of Sherrill, will host the 29th anniversary of Ruby Criss and the Spiritual Gospel Singers at 6 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Larry Patterson will give words of encouragement.

Meadow Baptist Church of Sheridan will host a concert of the New Revival Quartet Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the event.

Men’s/Women’s Day

True Vine “E” Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 W. Second Ave., will hold its women’s day program Sunday at 3 p.m. Jacqueline Jones of St. Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.

Cherry Street AME Zion Church, Eight Avenue and Cherry Street, will hold its annual women’s day service Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Hazel Linton will be the guest speaker and music will be by Women United for Christ.

Revivals

First Baptist Church, 6501 S. Hazel St., will hold its annual revival Sunday through Wednesday. Rev. Sam Moore of Bentonville will be the guest evangelist.

Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 4807 W. Sixth Ave., will host the Regular St. Marion District Association revival Monday through Friday at 6:30 p.m. Rev. Terry Randolph, pastor of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church of Flint, Mich., will be the guest evangelist.

First Missionary Baptist Church, 4500 Faucett Road, will hold its revival services at 7 p.m. on the following nights with these speakers: Monday, Rev. George Waters, pastor of Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church; Tuesday, Rev. Larry Battles, pastor of Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church; and Wednesday, Rev. James Murry, pastor of Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church.

Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church of McGehee will be holding revival Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. Rev. Aaron Johnson, pastor of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Morris Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Pastoria will hold its family and friends day Sunday at 11 a.m. Rev. J.N. Armstrong Jr. will be the guest speaker.

Union Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, 1121 S. Persimmon St., will feature Rev. Greg Walker, associate minister of First Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11 a.m., as the guest speaker.

Prairie Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 2611 Indiana St., will hold a first lady’s night Saturday at 6:30 p.m. honoring Fleshia Lowe. Shemeika Mack, first lady of Highland Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Grady will host a benefit program for Jamie Collins-Moore at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Mount Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, 812 E. Harding Ave., will host the Regular Arkansas Christian Education Conference Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Training will be held for Sunday school teachers, superintendents and administrators. Rev. H. Lynn Riley of Little Rock will be the instructor.

Old St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 1307 W. 16th Ave., will hold a word and fellowship with the Old St. James women’s ministry Monday at 6:30 p.m. Ruby Brooks will be the speaker.

First Missionary Baptist Church of Altheimer will hold a deacon ordination service for Essie Kimble Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. T.L. Breamsey Sr., pastor of First Baptist Church-Dew Drop, will be the guest speaker.

Breath of Life School of Ministry, 1313 S. Pine St., will hold its 30th commencement at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The valedictorian and speaker will be Paula Rochelle.

Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church of Yorktown will host the play, “Judgement Day,” Saturday at 6 p.m. Admission is free.

St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1404 S. Georgia St., will hold a senior day program Sunday at 9 a.m. Rev. Henry “Hank” Wilkins IV, pastor of St. James United Methodist Church, will be the guest speaker.

The Word and The Spirit Ministries of Star City will host a women’s conference Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Star City Civic Center. Speakers include Helen Burns Ticey of Little Rock; Louise Lyas of Maumelle; Demetrios Gulley of Little Rock; and Shirley Glass Matthews, a pastor of Word and the Spirit, of Monticello.

The State Auxiliary of Missionary Baptist Churches of Arkansas will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Center Baptist Church of Rowell.

Bethel New Bethel Church, 2522 N. Pryce St., will hold communion service at 6 p.m. Sunday. The mass choir will sing.

Mt. Sinai Church, 2221 S. Olive St., will hold its deacon ordination service Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. David Smith, pastor of Old St. James Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. Deacon candidates are R.C. Toney and Jamil Ahmad.
