Living Word Baptist Church, 5617 Sulphur Springs Road, will hold its first anniversary program for the pastor and wife, Rev. Terrance Williams and Shaunder Williams, Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Donald Agee, pastor of New Morning Star Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.

Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Faith will observe the third anniversary of the pastor and wife, Rev. John Farris and Tonya Farris, Sunday. At 11 a.m., the guest speaker will be Rev. Marvin Cawphon of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church. At 3 p.m., Rev. Patrick Lockett, pastor of New Community Church, will be the guest speaker.

Kingdom Builders Outreach Ministry, 3105 S. Apple St., will be celebrating its eighth church anniversary Sunday at 3 p.m.

St. Andrew Missionary Baptist Church of Altheimer will hold its annual ushers’ program at 11 a.m. Sunday. Rev. Fredrick Roberts, pastor of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Cornerstone, will be the guest speaker.

Belmont Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow will celebrate its 150th church anniversary at 2:30 Sunday. Rev. Lavell Bass, pastor of Regenerated Missionary Baptist Church, will be the speaker.

First Missionary Baptist Church, 4500 Faucett Road, will hold its annual Deacon and Deaconess program Sunday during 11 a.m. services. Rev. Ricky Bifford, associate minister of Mount Bayou Baptist Church of Altheimer, will be the guest speaker.

Love Fellowship and Deliverance Church of God in Christ, 411 S. Oleander St., will celebrate the second anniversary of Rev. Theopherlus McIntyre and Brenda McIntyre. Saturday at 7 p.m., Rev. Accie Reynolds Jr., pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church, will be the speaker. Sunday at 3 p.m., Elder Lugene Boyd, pastor of Redeemed Temple Church of God in Christ, will be the guest speaker.

Greater Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church, 3700 W. Sixth Ave., will hold its Trustee’s Annual Pew Rally at 3 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Alvin Smith, pastor of St. John A.M.E. Church, will be the guest speaker.

Watkin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 800 S. Juniper St., will hold their choir annual Sunday during the 11 a.m. service.

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow will hold a pastoral pre-anniversary program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Rev. James Murry, pastor of Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church, will be the speaker.

Motley Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 794 St. Raphael Road, will hold its annual mission program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Robert Scott, pastor of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church.

Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow will hold its annual usher program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Sherman Rochell of Sneed Chapel Church of Yorktown will be the guest speaker.

Concerts/Musicals

Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Church, 1201 N. Magnolia St., will hold a prison ministry program at 3 p.m. Sunday featuring the Department of Community Correction’s Women Choir. Rev. Randolph Martin of Allen Temple A.M.E. Church will be the speaker.

Eudora Baptist Church at Altheimer will hold a musical benefit program for Kelley Mack Williams and Leon Jackson Sunday at 3 p.m., sponsored by the Southeast Arkansas Community Mass Choir.

First Southern Baptist Church at Sheridan will present the Kinsmen Quartet in concert Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature Gerald Williams, singer and owner of with the Melody Boys Quartet, as the new bass singer. Other members include Bill Hankins, tenor; Mark Little, lead; and Gary Newton, baritone. The group has been singing for 28 years.

Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Grady will hold a musical program Sunday at 3 p.m. honoring the Golden Hearts of Dumas at the Dumas Singing Center. A fellowship dinner will be served.

Men’s/Women’s Day

Kings Highway Missionary Baptist Church, 2312 Fluker St., will hold its annual men’s day Sunday. William Nesby, a deacon of Kings Highway, will be the 11 a.m. speaker. Larry Turntine of First Baptist Missionary Church is the 3 p.m. speaker. Music will be by presented by Men in Black, Darren Edgerson and Favor.

Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 W. Pullen St., will observe its annual men’s day Sunday at 4 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. William L. Robinson pastor of First Baptist Church in North Little Rock. The First Baptist male chorus will sing.

First Trinity Church of God in Christ, 800 S. Catalpa St., will observe annual men’s day Sunday at 6 p.m. The speaker will be the Rev. Eugene Boyd.

Revivals

Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2401 Port Road, will hold its annual revival at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday with Rev. Leon Williams Sr., pastor of True Vine E Church, as the guest evangelist.

First Baptist Church Dewdrop, 1701 N. Bryant St., will hold its spring revival Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. Rev. Charles E. Banks Sr., pastor of the Greater Love Family Worship Center of Crowley, La., will be the guest speaker.

Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 2915 S. Main St., will hold revival Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. Rev. Theodis Shelton, pastor of First Baptist at Harrell, will be the speaker.

Special Events

Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Grady will hold a benefit program for E. Walker, the church’s oldest deacon, Saturday at 7 p.m.

Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Grady will hold a program honoring the Golden Hearts of Dumas at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Dumas Singing Center. A fellowship dinner will be served.

Grace and Mercy Missionary Baptist Church, 817 W. Sixth Ave., will host family and friends day Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Freddie Scott, the associate minister of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Little Rock.

St. John Missionary Baptist Church, U.S. 79 North, will host a tri-church fellowship meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m. Rev. Author Jones, associate minister of Jerusalem #2 Church, will be the guest speaker.

Unity Christian Fellowship Church, 2712 S. Bay St., will hold a 2013 Worship Experience. Rev. Jerron Liddell will be the guest speaker and singers will include Unity Christian Fellowship Worship Team, the Webb Sisters, Spiritual Wings of Joy, Newtown Missionary Baptist Church Choir and Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church Choir.

Green Meadows Baptist Church, 4201 U.S. 65 South, will host a drama known as “The Cast” from Williams Baptist College at Walnut Ridge, Sunday at 10:55 a.m. The program will focus on the ministry’s team theme titled “Peculiar People.”

Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will hold a deacon’s ordination service Sunday at 3 p.m. for Roosevelt Logan, George Price and Eric Walden. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Glenn Barnes, pastor of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

The citywide mission will meet Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2121 W. 26th Ave.

Greater Fellowship Ministries, 2401 S. Main St., will present “Release and Restoration” at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday featuring Brenda Jefferson, an apostle.

Timothy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will sponsor the first Love Banquet honoring the pastor and wife, Rev. Woodrow Jackson Jr. and Janice Jackson, at 6 p.m. April 27 at the fellowship hall of New United Missionary Baptist Church, 5601 Cheatham St. The speaker will be Rev. Aaron Johnson, pastor of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $10 per couple or $7 for singles.

Youth

The youth department of Bethel New Bethel Church, 2522 N. Pryce St., will host Saturday Night Live Youth Sunday starting Saturday at 6 p.m. with words of encouragement by Rev. Roosevelt Simmons Jr., pastor of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Gethsemane. Other guests will include Rev. Alex Geiger, Zeta Phi Zeta of UAPB and Unique Harmony of Little Rock. Sunday at 11 a.m., the guest minister will be Rev. Julius McDade, pastor of St. John Baptist Church of Lonoke.
