Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 900 Grant St., will celebrate its 63rd church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Leon Williams, pastor of True Vine ‘E’ Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 4807 W. Sixth Ave., will hold its annual Night in White on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Rev. Robert Anderson, pastor of Mulberry Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Altheimer, will be the guest speaker.

Barnett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1321 N. Birch St., will hold a seventh anniversary celebration for Rev. and Mrs. Don Hawkins on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Brian Castle, pastor of Indiana Street Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker at 3 p.m. Rev. Lorenzo R. Jones, associate minister of Kings Highway Missionary Baptist Church, will be the speaker at 11 a.m.

Special Events

The installation service for Rev. Jerry Goins, newly elected pastor of First Baptist Church on Highway 425, will be held at Unity Christian Fellowship Church, 2712 S. Bay St., Sunday at 6 p.m. Rev. Darrell J. Martin, pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Altheimer, will be the guest speaker.

Eternal Life Ministry, 503 Pryce St., will hold its first service of the year on Sunday at 3 p.m. Betty White, pastor of New Covenant Church, will be the guest speaker.

Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Altheimer will hold an installation of officers service on Sunday at 11 a.m. Rev. Rickey Anthony of Prairie Lake Missionary Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.

Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2401 Port Road, will hold an installation of officers service on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Brian Dodson of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church in Althiemer will be the guest speaker.

The January board meeting of the Consolidated St. Marion Baptist District Association will be held at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1404 Georgia St., on Sunday at 6 p.m. Rev. Louis Williams Jr., pastor of the St. Bethel Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. Department chairs will give reports and goals for the year.

Galilee Baptist Church, 4607 W. Sixth Ave., will host the steering committee of the Multi-District Congress of Christian Education on Monday at 7 p.m. Rev. George Barnes is lead president and Rev. Kirby Gulley is lead dean.

Solomon Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 8011 S. Olive St., will hold an Evangelism Outreach Sunday on Sunday at 11 a.m. Rev. Jonathan Mitchell, associate pastor of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church in Tucker, will be the guest speaker.

Mt. Sinai Church, 2221 S. Olive St., will feature Rev. Makeiko Morgan as the guest speaker Sunday at 11 a.m.

St. Luke AME Church, 9908 Princeton Pike, will host a annual “colorama” service presented by The St. Luke AME Women’s Missionary Society on Sunday at 11 a.m. Dr. Louise Tisdale of St. Luke AME Church will be the guest speaker.

St. Mark United Methodist Church, 4229 W. Sixth Ave., is holding a family fellowship and bible study on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. The evening will consist of age-appropriate bible study for children and adults, fellowship and refreshments. R.S.V.P. (not required) to Edna Morgan at 870-692-2400.

Yes I Can Ministries, 2902 S. Catalpa St., Suite 4, will hold its monthly fellowship “Equipping the Saints” on Sunday at 5 p.m.

Prairie Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 2611 Indiana St., will hold a pew rally on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Kenneth Jones, pastor of Watkins Chapel Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

St. Andrew AME Church, 701 Franklin St., will hold a leadership workshop on Saturday at 10 a.m. and installation service at 2 p.m. Rev. Kent J. Broughton, Sr., pastor of St. James AME Church in Warren, will be the guest speaker at both services.

Concerts/Musicals

New Cheeks Chapel AME in Sherrill will host the monthly worship services of the Pastoria Singing Union on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

The International House of Prayer, 4106 W. 12th Ave., will host a musical program featuring Nu Begin-N on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Other guests will include The White Family and The Mighty Truelights.

Eudora Baptist Church in Altheimer will hold a musical benefit program for Robert Williams and Reuben Camp Jr. on Saturday at 7 p.m. The program is sponsored by: The SEARK Community Mass Choir.

Youth

Alfred Carroll Ministries will sponsor the annual No Child Left Behind Evangelistic Outreach starting with a Proficient n’ Saved youth rally Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Cafe Court in The Pines mall. The event will feature youth from area churches and schools. Students are asked to wear school shirts.

The No Child Left Behind outreach program will continue at Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 3700 W. 13th Ave., with the Young Preachers Bowl Sunday at 3 p.m. The event will present five ministers ages 18 and up including Sidney Milton, Xavier Diamond, Lamar Dendy, Jeremiah Barnes and Justin Barnes.
