St. Andrew Missionary Baptist Church in Altheimer will hold its annual harvest drive Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Daryl Graydon of First Baptist Church in Altheimer will be the guest speaker.

Kings Highway Missionary Baptist Church, 2312 Fluker St., will celebrate its annual Christmas service on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Watson District Association will hold its annual Christmas program on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Watson District Headquarters in Mitchellville. Rev. Raymond Hawkins will be the guest speaker.

Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, 3201 W. Second Ave., will hold its annual Christmas program on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Special Events

Mt. Sinai Church, 2221 S. Olive St., will present its Christmas program on Sunday at 11 a.m. Rev. Eurvin Morgan of Barraque Street Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.

Timothy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1304 S. Apple St., will present its Christmas play, “His Name shall be called Wonderful,” on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

First Baptist Church (Dew Drop), 1701 N. Bryant St., will present its Christmas program, “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Smith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3006 Kentucky St., will hold its end of the year fellowship on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. LeArthur Shelton, pastor of Lampkin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. The mass choir of Lampkin Chapel will sing.

Cedar Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 6172 Highway 190 East, will hold a special meeting of the Cedar Branch Cemetery Association Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. The effects and results of church consolidation will be the primary topic of discussion.

Gospel Temple Baptist Church, 1100 Oakwood Road, will hold a benefit service for Alisha (Brasfield) Neal on Dec. 29 at 6 p.m. Rev. John Bynum will bring the devotional. The New Mighty Supremes, Heavenly Hearts, Might True Lights and many others will perform.

Unity Christian Fellowship Church, 2712 S. Bay St., will hold service Sunday at 3 p.m. for the first sermon of Julian A. Armstrong.

Highland Missionary Baptist Church, 1320 Peach St., will present a Gospel extravaganza on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The Highland Mass Choir, the Williams Singers, Kendrick Williams, Shaw Boys and many others will perform.

The Church of God, 7111 Shannon Road, will host its first Christmas program Sunday at 5:30 p.m. entitled “What is Christmas?” The program will be followed by snacks, games and fellowship.

Unity Temple Church of God in Christ, 4401 W. Sixth Ave., will hold a Christmas worship service on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Elder George Jordan will be the guest speaker.

Bethel New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2522 N. Pryce St., will hold a Christmas service on Tuesday at 6 a.m. Rev. Roosevelt Simmons Jr. will be the speaker.

Grace Episcopal Church, 4101 S. Hazel St., will hold a Christmas Eve service on Monday at 5:30 p.m. The Rev. Evelyn Hornaday is the celebrant.

St. Andrew AME Church, 701 Franklin St., will hold worship service on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2101 Reeker St., will hold a Christmas service on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Rev. Gabriel Jackson of Mt. Olive Church will be the guest speaker.

Bethlehem Worship Center Church in Dumas will hold camp meeting on Friday through Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. The guest speakers will be Eddie Allen, pastor of St. Andrews Missionary Baptist Church in Wolfe Project; Robert Rudolph, superintendent of Calvary Church of God in Christ in Malvern; and Henry Hellums, superintendent of Truth & Love Church of God in Christ in Pine Bluff and Little Rock.

Concerts/Musicals

The Voices of Deliverance will sponsor a Gospel Explosion concert at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 4807 W. Sixth Ave., Dec. 29 at 6:30 p.m. Galilee Choir, Kindling Star Choir, New Beginners, God’s Way Fellowship Choir Angels in Christ and many more will perform.

Bethany Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1923 S. Olive St., will hold its Christmas concert Saturday at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the concert.

Youth

Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2101 Reeker St., will hold a Christmas program, presented by the Pine Hill Youth Department, in the Life Center immediately following the 10:30 a.m. services Sunday.
