ANNIVERSARIES/ANNUALS

Union Baptist Church, 609 E. 24th Ave., will hold its annual appreciation program for the Webb Sisters at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Rev. LeRoy Spears, pastor of the Union Baptist Church, will be the speaker. Rev. Melvin Ely from Greater Mt. Calvary will serve as worship leader. Other guests include the Rev. Travis Jackson, the Boyz of Fordyce, the St. John Men of Praise of Little Rock, Bessie Lambert from Main Street, the Rev. Freddie Webb from the New Derrisaux, Rev. Arthur Gatewood from Old Morning Star and many more.

Saint James United Methodist Church, 900 N. University Drive, will host a pastor’s anniversary and birthday program to honor State Rep. the Rev. Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 8523 Princeton Pike Road, will hold its third anniversary appreciation for the Rev. Gabriel Jackson and his wife Alisha Jackson. The first lady’s night is 6 p.m. Saturday with Shemeka Mack of Highland Missionary Baptist Church as the guest speaker. The anniversary service is 3 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Frank Harris of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church as the guest speaker.

Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2008 Vaugine St., will celebrate its church anniversary 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Rodney Harris of the Labannah Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock will be the guest speaker.

Star Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 110 S. Paw Paw St., will celebrate its 123rd church anniversary 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Lee Whitiker of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church will be the guest speaker. The worship leader will be the Rev. Daryl Graydon of First Baptist Missionary Baptist Church in Altheimer.

Rankin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Gould will hold its first anniversary service to honor its pastor and his wife, the Rev. Jimmy Polk and Judy Polk, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. James Lee of Traveler’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Grady will be the guest speaker.

Christian Outreach Ministry, 4511 Faucett Road, will hold a appreciation service for its pastors, Elijah and Debbie Jackson, at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Person Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Meroney will celebrate its 106th anniversary and homecoming 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. George Barnes Sr. of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.

New St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 3301 Fir St., will hold an anniversary celebration 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday to honor the Barnes Sisters. REVIVALS

New Beginnings Baptist Church, 8826 Old Warren Road, will hold a revival service at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. Jamie Coulter, known as the “Skateboard Preacher” from Hamburg, will be the guest speaker.

Kingdom Builders Outreach Church of God In Christ, 3105 Apple St., will hold revival on Sunday through Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. Seth Mitchell will be the guest speaker Sunday and Monday. Jenise Blake of the The Son Lite Ministries will be the guest speaker Tuesday.

There Is Hope Church of God In Christ, 1003 E. 2nd Ave., will hold a homecoming celebration Sunday. The church’s founder Nataniel Jones will speak at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dennis Fitzgerald of Fellowship Christian Ministry will be the guest speaker at 3:30 p.m.

Saint John Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill, 7210 U.S. 79 North, will hold an appreciation program 2:30 p.m. Sunday to honor the Rev. Sylvester Dunbar. The Rev. Ramon L. Hunter of Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill will be the guest speaker.

First Baptist Church, 6501 S. Hazel St., will hold a musical concert 6 p.m. Sunday. The program,“Tapestry of Light: a Celtic Christmas Celebration” by Joseph M. Martin, will be presented by the sanctuary choir.

First Missionary Baptist Church, 4500 Faucett Road, will host rehersals for the Pine Bluff Women’s Community Choir “Songs of Praise 42 Concert” beginning 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, and continuing Dec. 21 and Dec. 28. Mt. Bayou Missionary Baptist Church in Altheimer will celebrate the seventh choir anniversary of the Mt. Bayou Youth Choir at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Dedric T. Williams of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas, will be the guest speaker. Guest choirs include the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Youth Choir of Altheimer, Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church Youth Choir, Future Generations and Old St. James Missionary Baptist Church Youth Choir.
