Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 4807 W. Sixth Ave., will hold its 94th church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Carlon Shelton, pastor of the New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Irving, Texas, will be the guest speaker.

Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 8523 Princeton Pike Road, will hold its 152nd church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Holcomb Jr., pastor of Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Polk Chapel Baptist Church at Yorktown will hold its 97th church anniversary on Sunday. Rev. Royce Jackson Sr., pastor of Wade Chapel Baptist Church in Star City, will be the guest speaker at 10:45 a.m. Rev. Roderick Sowers, pastor of St. Harmony Baptist Church in Dumas, will be the guest speaker at 3 p.m.

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Altheimer will hold its 122nd church anniversary on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Harold Box, pastor of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Scott, will be the guest speaker.

The New St. Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church, 3319 Ohio St., will hold its 156th church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. John Spicer, pastor of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 909 S. Wisconsin St., will hold its 108th church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Kevin Crumpton, pastor of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill will hold its 134th church anniversary on Sunday. Rev. Melvin Harrison, pastor of Mount Ollie Missionary Baptist Church in Star City, will be the guest speaker at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Robert Anderson, pastor of Mulberry Grove Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker at 3 p.m.

Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2101 Reeker St., will hold its 107th church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Donald Agee, pastor of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

New Morning Star Baptist Church at Cornerstone will hold its 58th annual choir day on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Aaron Barnes Sr., pastor of New Home Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. Other guests will be the New Home Boyz and the Maddox Singers.

Southside Singing Center, 5400 W. 15th Ave., will host the 27th anniversary of the Mighty Gospellettes on Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Rev. Royce Jackson Jr., will be the guest speaker. Groups will include the Voices of Love, Traveling Kings, Nu Beginning, True Vessel, Williams Singers and many more.

Prairie Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 2611 Indiana St., will hold its annual appreciation program in honor of deacons, deaconesses, mother’s board and senior citizens on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Thirland McKissic, pastor of New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

First Trinity Church of God in Christ, 700 S. Catalpa St., will host an anniversary celebration for its pastor, DeWitt Hill, and wife, Minnie Hill, beginning Saturday at 7 p.m. Elder Antone C. Smith, associate minister of Restoration Christian Center in Dallas, and Rev. Chester Z. McIntyre, pastor of Peacemaker Church of God in Christ at Raytown, Mo., will be the guest speakers. Sunday at 4 p.m., the anniversary program will feature Elder Finley W. Hill, associate minister of First Trinty, as the guest speaker.

Revivals

South Side Baptist Church, 2309 S. Poplar St., will hold revival. On Sunday, breakfast begins at 9 a.m., concert at 10 a.m., and worship service at 11 a.m. On Monday through Wednesday, there will be a free meal at 5 p.m. and service will begin at 6 p.m. Rev. Herb Wilson, a vocational evangelist, will be the guest speaker.

First Pentecostal Church, 5400 Windham, will hold revival Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. Rev. Kevin Cowan will be the guest speaker.

Special Events

Rev. George Barnes, pastor of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, was appointed to president of the State Assembly of the National Trusted Partners for Christ Inc. during a meeting Oct. 12 at Galilee. At this meeting, Rev. Henry J. Lyons, national president of the National Trusted Partners, appointed Barnes to the position, noting his resourcefulness as a leader and commitment to the Christian family in Arkansas and nationwide. The meeting was also held to plan the National Trusted Partners’ national board meeting in February 2013.

Bethel New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2522 N. Pryce St., will hold a celebration honoring its Golden Saints on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Richard Harris, pastor of Lamp Light Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, will be the guest speaker.

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Moscow will hold mission night on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Rev. Ernest Jenkins, pastor of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at Varner, will be the guest speaker.

Concerts/Musicals

Unity Christian Fellowship Church, 2712 S. Bay St., will hold its annual musical on Sunday at 4 p.m.

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Moscow will a hold a pre-anniversary musical concert on Sunday at 6 p.m. The special guests will be the Sensational Hearts and the JacksonAires.

Power Pack Productions will hold a pre-Thanksgiving gospel concert on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s fine arts auditorium. Guest groups include the Racy Brothers, Gatewood Brothers, Travis Jackson and the Boyz and Rev. Melvin Ely. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Tickets for children 12 and under are $5. Immanuel Baptist Church, 1801 W. 17th Ave., will host a community concert on Sunday at 3 p.m. featuring Enoch Fernando, the president of Christ for India. Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Altheimer will host a musical benefit program for Rev. Larry Blood and Bruce Washington Sr., on Saturday at 7 p.m. The benefit is sponsored by the Southeast Arkansas Community Mass Choir.

A “reach out and touch someone” benefit program will be held Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Dumas Singing Center in Dumas. All choirs, gospel groups and soloists are asked to participate.

Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Grady will hold a midweek praise and worship service on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Rev. Woodrow Jackson Jr., pastor of the Timothy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Womans/Mens Day

Almeta Missionary Baptist Church in Reedville, will hold a women’s day program on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Mark Steven, pastor of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in McGehee, is the guest speaker.

Eudora Missionary Baptist Church, 9405 Middle Warren Road, will hold its annual men’s day on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Donald Manning will be the guest speaker.

St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill will hold its annual men’s day on Sunday. Rev. Clifton Blanchett, pastor of Greater Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Forest City, will be the guest speaker at 11 a.m. Rev. Leon Williams Sr., pastor of True Vine E Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker at 2:30 p.m.

Bethany Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1923 S. Olive St., will host the Regular St. Marion District Women’s department planning meeting on Saturday at noon.

Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2121 W. 26th Ave., will hold a women’s day program on Sunday. The guest speaker will be Jacquelyn LaFaye Flowers of Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church, at 3 p.m.
