Mount Bayou Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will celebrate the 147th church anniversary on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Richard P. Bifford, associate minister of Mount Bayou, will be the guest speaker.

Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 2915 S. Main St., will celebrate the 14th church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Stanley Blair, pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Eighth Avenue missionary Baptist Church, 1200 West Eighth Ave., will celebrate the 114th church anniversary on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Eddie Harris Jr., pastor of Ward Chapel AME Church, will be the guest speaker.

Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, 3201 W. Second Ave., will celebrate the 123rd church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Gilbert Byrd and the Allen Temple Baptist Church of Stuttgart will be the special guests.

Eudora Missionary Baptist Church, 9405 Middle Warren Road, will celebrate the 178th church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Gabriel Jackson, pastor of Mount Olive Church, will be the guest speaker.

The Church of the Living God Missionary Baptist Church, 3120 Gravel Pit Road, will celebrate the 23rd church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Clark Thomas, pastor of the New Salem Baptist Church of Pastoria, will be the guest speaker.

Motley Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 794 St. Raphael Road, will celebrate the 96th church anniversary on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Woodrow Jackson Jr., pastor of Timothy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 600 E. 38th Ave., will celebrate the 117th church anniversary on Sunday at 11 a.m. Rev. Scheron Womack, associate minister of Old St. James Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Unity Temple Church of God in Christ, 4401 W. Sixth Ave., will celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the church and appreciation of the pastor and wife, Elder Lincoln Clardy and Nina Clardy, on Sunday at 11 a.m. Rev. Freddie Heard, pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Grady, will be the guest speaker. The celebration will be held at the Big Rec in Townsend Park, 1000 Townsend Park Drive.

First Missionary Baptist Church, 4500 Faucett Road, will celebrate the 147th church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Anthony Craig, pastor of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. Music provided from both choirs.

Prairie Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 2611 Indiana St., will celebrate the 118th church anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. T.R Ramey, pastor of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Kings Highway Missionary Baptist Church, 2312 Fluker St., will continue to celebrate the 19th anniversary of its pastor and wife, the Rev. Walter C. May and Hilda May, on Sunday at 3 p.m. The Men in Black will be in concert.

Bailey Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Reed will celebrate the seventh anniversary of its pastor and wife, the Rev. Eddie Handley Sr. and Marilyn Handley, on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Robert Handley, pastor of Mount Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church at Jefferson will celebrate the first anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. Marcus Morton, on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Johnny L. Morton, pastor of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Dumas, will be the guest speaker.

Rock of Faith Deliverance Church, 3108 E. Third Ave., will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its pastors, Rev. Rufus Dennis and Rev. Frankie Dennis, on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Darnell Perry, pastor of Proximity Life Ministries in Little Rock, will be the guest speaker.

Grace and Mercy Missionary Baptist Church, 817 W. Sixth Ave., will celebrate the third anniversary of its pastor and wife, Rev. Charles McIntosh and Carrie McIntosh, on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Frank Harris Jr., pastor of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

East End Church of God in Christ, 709 Virginia St., will celebrate the 54th anniversary of its pastor and wife, Elder William J. Johnson Sr. and Eula F. Johnson. Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Rev. Christopher Nelson Sr., associate pastor of East End Church of God in Christ, will be the guest speaker. Sunday at 3 p.m., the guest speaker will be William J. Johnson Jr., pastor of New Calvary Church of God in Christ in North Little Rock.

Barnett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1321 N. Birch St., will hold its annual choir day on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Aaron Johnson, pastor of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church at Reed will hold its annual choir day on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Many local choirs and soloists will participate.

New St. Hurricane Baptist Church, 3319 Ohio St., will celebrate its choir anniversary on Sunday at 7 p.m.

Greater Battle Chapel Baptist Church at Altheimer will hold its annual usher program on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Sammie Smith Jr., pastor of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Rison, will be the guest speaker.

Mt. Pleasant AME Church, 1201 N. Magnolia St., will hold its annual choir day on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Patrick Lockett, pastor of New Community Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. New Community choirs, the Henry Sisters, Mt. Pleasant AME Choirs and Collegiate Voices of Praise will provide music.

Happy Home Missionary Baptist Church, at Jefferson, will hold its annual building fund on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Jimmy Fisher and the Greater Mount Calvary Church Family will be the guests.

Alfred Carroll Ministries will will host the annual Deacon Burse project worship service to honor seven deacons Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 3700 W. 13th Ave. Rev. Donald Agee, pastor of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. The project is named in honor Isaiah Burse, 87, the eldest deacon at Greater Mt. Calvary. Concerts/Musicals

Southside Singing Center, 5400 W. 15th Ave., will hold its monthly singing program on Sunday at 7 p.m. Groups will include the Mighty Gospelettes, the Sensational Soul Revivals, and the White Family, Gloriettes, Shinning Stars and the Christland Faith of Harmony.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Altheimer will hold a musical benefit program for the Floyd and Patricia Donald Family and for Pauline Poe on Saturday at 7 p.m. This event is sponsored by The Southeast Arkansas Community Mass Choir.

Revivals

Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 6300 U.S. 79 South, will hold its annual fall revival on Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. Rev. Donald Agee, pastor of New Morning Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Grady will hold revival services Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. Rev. Donald Manning, pastor of Thomas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Gould, will be the guest speaker. Mt. Zion and Owen Chapel churches in Dumas will also be participants.

Abundant Life Church, 3109 S. Main St., will hold Campmeeting ‘12 on Wednesday through Friday at 7:30 p.m. Guest ministers include Nathanial Jones of Monticello, Zena Mitchell of Seattle, Wash., Lecester Bell of Dumas, David White of Little Rock, Rine Dansby and Beverly Word.

Jerusalem No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will host an appreciation program to honor its pastor, Rev. James Rice, Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. James Barnes Jr., pastor of New St. James Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Full Counsel Church, 517 Cherry St., will host the 12th annual UAPB Day on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. UAPB Chapter Word of Faith Student Fellowship will present the program. Special guests include: UAPB Vesper Choir, UAPB M4 Band, UAPB Golden Lions. First Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will host a calendar drive program on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Robert Willis, pastor of Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church at Meroney will hold a harvest drive on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Willie Laws Sr., pastor of the New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Cornerstone, will be the guest speaker.

Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at Varner will hold a family and friends day on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Marvin Ashford, pastor of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Winchester, will be the guest speaker.

First Baptist Church, 4901 McDonley Road, will be honoring Rosie Lee Davis with a love program Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Accie Reynolds Jr., pastor of First Baptist Church, will be the speaker.

Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2101 Reeker St., will hold the meeting for the city wide mission on Monday at 1:30 p.m.

Rev. Cleon Morgan, pastor of Mt. Sinai Church, 2221 S. Olive St., announces worship services will begin on Sunday, with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and morning service at 11 a.m. Bible study will be held each Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Battle Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will host an usher board acknowledgement program on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Sammy Smith and the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Rison will be the guests.

Victory Faith Church, 1517 S. Poplar St., will continue its 15th anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Kenneth Gulley, pastor of Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Hot Springs, will be the guest speaker. Wednesday at 7:15 p.m., Rev. Lorenzo Neal, pastor of New Bethel AME Church in Jackson, Miss., will be the guest speaker.

Womens/Mens Day

Prayer Garden Church of God in Christ, 800 S. Apple St., proclaims October as Women’s Month to call awareness to breast health. Services will be held each Sunday at 6 p.m. Debra Fisher, an evangelist and member of Canaan Christian Center, will be the guest speaker on Pink Carnation Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m.

First Church of God in Christ at McGehee will celebrate its annual women’s day on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Beatrice Austin Bell will be the guest speaker.

Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 W. Pullen St., will celebrate its annual women’s day celebration on Sunday at 3 p.m. Attorney Carla Martin, Dean of the School of Business at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and member of First Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.
