Mulberry Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 719 S. Ohio St., will celebrate the sixth anniversary of its pastor and wife, the Rev. Anthony Walker Sr. and Lisa Walker, on Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. LeArthur Shelton, pastor of Lampkin Chapel Baptist Church.

Grapevine Church of God In Christ at Grapevine will celebrate the 17th anniversary of its pastor and wife, Rev. Lawrence and Rita Hobbs on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. K.D. Mixon Sr., bishop and pastor at the Victory Faith Church of God In Christ, will be the guest speaker.

Union Hopewell/Bluff Spring Missionary Baptist Church, 1121 Persimmon St., will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of its pastor and wife, the Rev. Larry and Lana Ward on Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. George Glass Jr., pastor of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Bastrop, La., will be the guest speaker.

Old Morning Star Baptist Church, 3116 Port Road, will have its annual family and friends day on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Moments In Truth Evangelistic Ministries, 116 S. Plum St., will observe the first anniversary of its pastor and wife, the Rev. Clarence and Gloria Peacock, Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Ricky Goodwin and Kelly Goodwin, an evangelist, will be the guest speakers. Musical guests include the Darrough Sisters and the Soul Serenaders.

Amos Chapel Baptist Church, 2401 Port Road, will honor the pastor, Rev. Robert Willis Jr., for 31 years of service with a pre-anniversary Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. James Williams of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.

Pleasant View Ministries will begin its 25th pastoral anniversary of Rev. and Mrs. William A. Shaw Jr. with a dinner at 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Pine Bluff Country Club. The Vocal Aires of Wabbaseka and the Birds of Harmony of Dumas will be among guests at Antioch Full Gospel Baptist Church at College Station during the All State Quartet Extravaganza Sunday at 7 p.m.

Eudora Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will hold its 10th annual choir day Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Charles McIntosh, pastor of Grace and Mercy Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Joy Community Church, 2101 E. Sixth Ave., will host The Men In Black male chorus Sunday at 3 p.m. The speaker will be Edward McCarter, assistant coach of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s Golden Lions basketball team.

Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 E. Seventh Ave., will celebrate their 10th mass choir anniversary Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Arthur Blood, pastor of the Greater Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church at Little Rock, will be the guest speaker.

Revivals

Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2101 Reeker St., will hold revival services Wednesday through Friday at 7 nightly. The Rev. W.T. Glynn, pastor of Mount Olive Church in Fort Worth, Texas, will be the guest speaker.

St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill will hold its annual revival services Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Rev. Accie Reynolds Jr., pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church in Ladd, will be the guest speaker.

Barnett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1321 N. Birch St., will hold a revival Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. The Rev. Charles Helloms, pastor of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Ladd, will be the guest speaker.

Esau Watson Jr., bishop of Greater Fellowship Ministries, 2401 S. Main St., will present a prayer revival symposium and exaltations at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Special Events

Daniel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow will hold its deacon program Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Jessie Jackson Jr., pastor of the Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church at Meroney, will be the guest speaker.

Rehearsals for the Pine Bluff Women’s Community Choir’s “Songs of Praise 41 Concert” will begin at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2121 W. 26th Ave. Other rehearsal dates are Sept. 21 and Sept. 28. Also, all the community choir is asked to wear black with a red flower to the funeral service of the Rev. G.L. Ford, longtime pastor of Rose Hill, at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Moscow will honor senior citizens Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Carl Williams of Smith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will celebrate senior saints day Sunday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Richard P. Bifford, associate minister of Mount Bayou Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer, will be the guest speaker.

Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 Oakwook Road, will hold an appreciation program for an associate minister, Rev. Robert Walters, Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Otis Walters of First Trinity Church of God in Christ.

God’s Way Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 1601 Commerce Road, will hold the Pastor’s Aide Program at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Clifton Hayes, pastor of the East Macedonia Church at England.

Family Time Baptist Church, 501 Ohio St., will hold its annual four season program Sunday at 3 p.m.

Youth

Union Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will observe the annual youth and young adult day Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Derrick Flowers, pastor of Faithway Baptist Church at Little Rock.

Women’s/Men’s Day

New Hope AME Church at Sherrill will hold its annual men and women’s day Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev Hazel Linton, pastor of New Hope and New Cheeks Chapel AME churches, will be the speaker. A choir rehearsal will begin at noon Saturday at Pine Hill Baptist Church in Pine Bluff.

Mount Harmony Baptist Church, 812 E. Harding Ave., will hold the Consolidated St. Marion Baptist District Women’s Day service honoring Earnestine Wright at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Betty Jo Lea, dean of the Congress of Christian Education, Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock.

True Vine “E” Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 W. Second Ave., will be having a Men’s Day Dinner 2012 on Saturday at 6 p.m. The guest speaker will be Sheriff Gerald Robinson. The annual men’s day will be Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Joe Scott Sr., pastor at New Jerusalem #2 Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Person Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Meroney will be celebrating their men and women’s day Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Jimmy R. Bynum of the Arbon Missionary Baptist Church in Gould.

New Jericho Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 N. Lindell St., will host its women’s day program Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Cynthia Howard of Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church.

Bethel-Ladd AME Church, 5226 E. Pointer Road, will honor its Women’s Missionary Society Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Darren Edgerson, pastor of St. Peter’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

St. James United Methodist Church, 900 N. University Drive, will continue Women’s Emphasis Month with a Spirituality and Relationship seminar Saturday at noon. The speaker will be Shantella Yow of Wesley United Methodist Church at Little Rock. Sunday at 10 a.m., a health and fitness kickoff will be held.
