Earnest L. Williams received a Beyond Expectation Peer Award for outstanding achievement at the Pine Bluff Arsenal recently.
A construction control representative for the Directorate of Public Works, Williams oversees contractors, a news release said.
Williams has been employed for 38 years with the arsenal and received the award from arsenal commander Col. David Musgrave.
“He has consistently displayed an exceptional degree of expertise in the performance of his duties,” a spokesman said. “His ability to navigate through the complex contract specifications coupled with his superior interpersonal communications skills enabled him to foster relationships with contract partners that produce quality and reliable services. Applying his personal customer service methodology, gained from years of experience, Mr. Williams rarely received a complaint from customers or contract administrators.”
While working at the arsenal, he has held several positions including boiler operator, scheduler, estimator and as an engineering technician for architecture, civil, electrical mechanical, drainage system and engineering technicians in the director’s office.
He is also a 32nd degree Mason and a member Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
