WHITE HALL — Santa Claus will be riding in a new sleigh atop a White Hall fire truck when the city’s annual Christmas Parade rolls down Dollarway Road at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Stephanie Moreau, secretary of the sponsoring White Hall Chamber of Commerce, said the parade will begin at Regal Oaks, then turn north on Dollarway to Anderson and City Park.
Mary Lou Mauldin, director of the White Hall Museum, has been named parade marshal and will turn on the Christmas lights at City Park, Moreau said.
Santa will visit with children at City Hall following the parade, with cookies, punch and hot chocolate served to guests.
The entry fee to march or ride in the parade is one canned meat or nonperishable food item for each person, with proceeds going to the White Hall Food Pantry.
