Ashleah Page Courtney has been accepted to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine freshman class beginning in fall 2013.
She is a 2008 honor graduate of Watson Chapel High School. In May 2012, she graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Biology from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. Currently residing in New Orleans, she will graduate with her Master of Science in Public Health with concentrations in Parasitology and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University in August.
In the summer of 2011, Courtney conducted research in the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Research Institute Summer Science Program. She is currently completing the practical portion of her masters degree in the HIV clinic at Children’s Hospital New Orleans. A recent participant in a St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser, she shaved her head and raised over $1,000 for pediatric cancer research.
Ashleah Page Courtney is the daughter of Jimmy and Paula Courtney of Pine Bluff.
