Jimmy Woolems, field service supervisor at United Water Arkansas, was recently honored for 40 years of service with the agency.

United Water Arkansas Manager Lester Melton presented Woolems with his 40-year service award before his peers in Pine Bluff.

Woolems’ career started in August 1972, when he became a meter reader with then-General Waterworks, the predecessor to United Water. In September 1988, he was promoted to lead service person and a year later, he obtained the field service supervisor position.

Woolems was also active in the military, serving in Desert Storm beginning in January 1991. After his active duty, he returned to Pine Bluff and his job at the water company.

Retired from the Army National Guard, Woolems and his wife, Jacque, have two daughters and one grandson, Parker.
