The Master of Science Degree in Addiction Studies Program and the Office of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will offer two new graduate level online courses beginning the Spring 2013 semester.
The courses are:
Pharmacology of Addictions (GASP 5348) — a three hour semester course that will focus on the pharmacological effects on human physiology, including chemical effects in the brain and in the central nervous system.
Human Development and Addictions (GASP 5351) — a three hour semester course that will focus on human development across the lifespan and addiction treatment from a strengths perspective.
Interested applicants must have a four year bachelor’s degree and a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher. Access to a computer that is compatible with the Blackboard Learning System is also required. The link can be accessed via UAPB’s website (www.uapb.edu).
