The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Merchandising, Textiles and Design Program will offer a summer teacher workshop on from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 10, in the Adair-Greenhouse Building.
Led by MTD instructor Kalari Turner, the workshop will feature an overview of the university’s Department of Human Sciences, a presentation of the accomplishments of MTD students and faculty, tours and demonstrations. Activities include a cooking and nutrition demonstration.
Teachers will also have a chance to engage in open discussion during the “What Students Need to Succeed in College” session.
The free workshop is open to high school teachers and others who have a master’s degree in any field and work experience or significant interest in the merchandising, textiles and design field.
Continuing education units will be available.
