UAPB awards scholarship to Blytheville student


The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff recently awarded a University Scholarship to Christan Stokes, a 2013 honor graduate of Blytheville High School.

Stokes maintained a 4.0 grade point average for the past three years; and his high school activities included track, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Toastmasters, Youth Leadership Program, National Honor Society, Beta Club and Upward Bound Math and Science. He plans to major in psychology with plans to become a criminal psychologist.

To be eligible for the University Scholarship, a student must have a minimum ACT score of 23 and a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The scholarship pays full tuition and room and board.
