Marcus Terrell of Crete, Ill., was recently awarded a University Scholarship from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
To be eligible for the University Scholarship, a student must have a minimum ACT score of 23 and a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The University Scholarship pays full tuition and room and board.
Marcus is the son of Sheila Gayden and graduated from Crete-Monee High School. He graduated with a 3.5 grade point average and scored a 30 on the ACT. His main high school activities included playing football, running track and being a member of the National Spanish Honor Society.
Marcus will major in Industrial Technology and is weighing his career options.
