Teen Court visits Arkansas Supreme Court

Sixth Division Circuit Court Teen Court (Diversion Program) observed the Arkansas Supreme Court in oral arguments on Thursday, April 11.

They were allowed to ask questions and later to tour the Arkansas State Capitol and visit with Gov. Mike Beebe and state legislators.

The Teen Court Diversion is a volunteer program for teens in grades 9-12 in Jefferson and Lincoln counties. It offers Teen Court volunteers an opportunity to decide on real life cases of first-time offenders and serve in the roles of prosecuting attorney, defense attorney, clerk, bailiff and jurors.
