Senior Schedule


Lunch is served, and activities planned Monday through Friday at the Coretta Scott King Senior Citizens Center at the Martin Luther King Jr. Park and the Strachota Senior Center, formerly the Bradshaw Senior Citizens Center, 801 E. Eighth Ave.

Here is the King Center’s schedule of activities for this week.

Monday

Draw Bingo, exercise and lunch.

Tuesday

Exercise class with P. Hayes, exercise and lunch.

Wednesday

Dress-up Day, exercise and lunch.

Thursday

Fire drill, exercise and lunch.

Friday

Word search, exercise and lunch.

Transportation is provided daily to and from the King center. Persons needing transportation may call 870-543-6282.

Here is the Strachota Center’s schedule of activities for this week.

Monday

Low-impact beginning exercise, video exercise, aerobics for seniors by Bobbie Gurnsey and lunch.

Tuesday

Coffee/dominoes, fellowship, exercise and lunch.

Wednesday

Low-impact beginning exercise, video exercise, aerobics for seniors by Bobbie Gurnsey and lunch.

Thursday

Coffee/dominoes, ZUMBA Gold classes at 10 a.m., and lunch.

Friday

Low-impact beginning exercise, video exercise, aerobics for seniors by Bobbie Gurnsey and lunch.

Various exercise equipment is free for use by senior citizens at the Strachota Center, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Additional information about the activities at the Strachota center is available by calling 870-543-6323.

Monday

Brunswick stew, parslied rice, herbed green beans, Texas bread, carnival cookie and milk

Tuesday

Meatloaf, tomato gravy, whipped potatoes, green peas, wheat bread, vanilla pudding and milk

Wednesday

Turkey breast with gravy, candied spiced yams, mixed beans, cornbread, oatmeal raisin cookie and milk

Thursday

Grilled beef fingers, brown gravy, garlic whipped potatoes, glazed carrots, white bread, cherry gelatin and milk

Friday

BBQ rib patty, Chuckwagon corn, baked beans, white bread, fresh fruit and milk
