Improvements to Interstate 530 will require lane closures in Pine Bluff, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials.
Crews will be patching bridge joints. It will require rolling lane closures on Interstate 530 from the north interchange to the south interchange.
The work will be done Monday through Friday. It will require the alternating closure of one lane in northbound and southbound traffic. All the work will be performed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting.
A second job will begin Monday and continue for several weeks.
The work will require the southbound outside lane to be closed from Old Warren Road to Hazel Street. It will not interfere with the Old Warren Road on ramp. The Hazel Street off ramp will remain open, but will have traffic barrels and signs clearly marking the correct path for motorists.
Traffic will be controlled using barrels, cones and warning signs.
Motorists are asked to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
