Public hearing set for racing site in White Hall


The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public hearing for public comments on a permit application for a proposed motor vehicle racing facility in Jefferson County.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. March 28 at the White Hall Public Library, 300 Anderson St.

The ADEQ Air Division is reviewing a permit application submitted by George Huntley, doing business as Wildman Race Track. The facility is proposed to be located at 9322 Huntley Trail, Pine Bluff.

Oral and written comments will be accepted at the hearing; however, written comments are preferred. Written comments may also be submitted prior to the hearing to Mike Porta, Air Division, Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, 5301 Northshore Drive, North Little Rock, AR, 72118. All comments must be submitted by the close of the public hearing in order to be considered during the permit review process.
