Murrell named deputy director at Old State House Museum

LITTLE ROCK — Brendetta Murrell has been appointed as the deputy director of the Old State House Museum. Murrell, who was appointed to the position by Director Bill Gatewood, will replace Duncan Jones, who retired in late October 2012.

“Brendetta has been the museum’s business manager for many years and has a thorough knowledge of state fiscal policy. I look forward to working with her – she is a valuable member of the Old State House Museum team,” Gatewood said.

Murrell was employed for eight years as an accounting clerk at Central Moloney Inc. in Pine Bluff. She began working at the Old State House Museum, serving as the business operations specialist, in February 2002.
