Memphis student receives UAPB Academic Tuition Scholarship

Mikiah Ballard of Memphis was awarded an Academic Tuition Scholarship from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Mikiah is the daughter of Felicia Epps.

She is a 2013 honor graduate of Northside High School, maintaining a 3.5 grade point average. Her main high school activities were cheerleading, Future Business Leaders of America and the National Honor Society. Mikiah is chemistry major at UAPB. After graduation she plans to attend pharmacy school and become a pharmacist. She is a member of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Academy and the American Chemical Society.

To be eligible for the Academic Scholarship, a student must have a minimum ACT score of 21 and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The Academic Tuition Scholarship pays full tuition.
