Mcdonald named UALR Donaghey Scholar

Amber Mcdonald of Pine Bluff, a 2013 graduate of Pine Bluff High School, has been selected as a Donaghey Scholar at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Her parents are Alvin and Cynthia McDonald of Pine Bluff.

Mcdonald joins 25 students this year selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants representing five states and six countries.

Being named a Donaghey Scholar is among the most prestigious designations given by UALR. Those selected as Donaghey Scholars are awarded $80,000 over a four-year period, which includes tuition and a stipend, as well as a funded study abroad experience, a laptop and assistance toward student housing.
