Man with Redfield ties decorated with Bronze Star

Army Lt. Col. Todd A. Johnson has been decorated with the Bronze Star Medal.

The medal is awarded to an individual who, while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, has performed a heroic act, meritorious acts or achievements or distinguished service not involving participation in aerial flight, in connection with military operations against an armed enemy of the United States; or while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing armed force in which the United States is not a belligerent party.

Johnson is the Chief of Force Integration Section, V Corps Headquarters, Wiesbaden Army Airfield, Germany. He has served in the military for 21 years.

He is the son of Floyd C. Johnson Sr. of Redfield and Linda L. Banks of Hot Springs Village.

Johnson graduated from Missouri Military Academy, Mexico, Mo., in 1989 and received a bachelor’s degree in 1994 from Westminster College, Fulton, Mo.
