Lincoln County tornado victims may apply for disaster aid

Lincoln County residents affected by the Arpil 10 severe storms and tornado may be eligible for Arkansas Disaster Assistance, according to a spokesman from the Lincoln County Office of Emergency Management.

Assistance is available for eligible homeowners and renters whose primary residence was destroyed, made uninhabitable and had eligible uninsured losses.

Businesses aren’t eligible for state assistance, the spokesman said.

Categories of assistance for residents include home repairs, personal property repair/replacement, cleaning, sanitizing and debris removal and repairs/replacement of primary transportation.

When applying, residents need the primary homeowners and renters information, Social Security number, damage address, phone number, email address and insurance information.

Residents may apply now through May 1 by visiting online at or calling the Arkansas Disaster Assistance Hotline at 1-888-683-2336 (ADEM.) The center hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
