Lafayette County student receives UAPB Academic Scholarship

Raymond Sims of Stamps has been awarded a Academic Tuition Scholarship the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Raymond is the son of Yvonne and Raymond Sims Sr.

He is a 2013 honor graduate of Lafayette County High School in Stamps. His high school activities included Student Council president, National Honor Society president and Senior Class president. He was also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Future Business Leaders of America. Raymond is a psychology major. After graduation he plans to earn a Ph.D. in psychology and become a clinical or counseling psychologist.

To be eligible for the Academic Scholarship, a student must have a minimum ACT score of 21 and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The Academic Tuition Scholarship pays full tuition.
