Jefferson County land auction nets $232,215


The Commissioner of State Lands office conducted an auction of Jefferson County tax-delinquent properties recently at the Arts and Science Center in Pine Bluff.

A total of 30 interested bidders attended the sale, which is held annually by the state to dispose of land on which the taxes have been past due for more than two years.

The State Land Office reported the sale of 31 parcels collecting $232,214.76 in revenue for Jefferson County and state government.
