The Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc. recommends all voters whose names or addresses have changed to fill out a change of name/address form in the county clerk’s office at the Jefferson County Courthouse. Doing so may avoid problems on general election day, Nov. 6, a spokesman said.
Residents are urged to verify their voter registration information and their polling place/precinct location by contacting the county clerk’s office.
Voters must be registered by Oct. 9, the last day to register to vote before the general election.
“If you turn 18 years of age before or on Oct. 9, 2012, you can register and vote in the upcoming elections,” he said.
