Curtis Goodloe, a security guard at the Pine Bluff Arsenal, was presented the Arsenal’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award on Jan. 24.

The award is presented every year by the Arsenal’s Equal Employment Opportunity office to a peer-nominated employee for exceptional community service.

Goodloe, a native of Wabbaseka, served as a member of the Wabbaseka city council for six years. He assisted in establishing a Computer Lab Project in Wabbaseka in 2009. He also worked on a community walking trail, refurbishment of city streets and the city water treatment plant, as well as replacement of a fire truck for the city.
