CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Virginia Waldon, a Fort Smith delegate at the Democratic National Convention, was hospitalized Wednesday morning after possibly suffering a mild stroke.
Waldon became ill during a breakfast meeting of Arkansas delegates. She was taken to a local hospital and released Wednesday evening. She planned to return to the delegation hotel for the night and will see her doctor when she returns to Fort Smith.
Waldon had complained of a tingling in her fingers, according to other delegates who were sitting with her at breakfast.
