Superintendent Bobby Acklin recently announced that Dollarway School District will begin classes Monday, Aug. 19, for the 2013-14 school year.
Students enrolling in the pre-K program should be age 4 by Aug. 1. Students enrolling in kindergarten should be age 5 by Aug. 1.
Parents should accompany students to registration with the following items required for pre-K and kindergarten and all other students who are new to the district: birth certificate, immunization record, proof of residence (mortgage/lease agreement or utility bill — water, gas, or electric), Social Security card and prior school records or withdrawal form.
Registration dates and times for each of the schools are as follows:
• James Matthews Elementary (pre-K 1st) began registration Monday
• Townsend Park Elementary (2nd-5th) begins registration from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday
• Robert Morehead Middle School (6th-8th) begins registration from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday
• Dollarway High School (9th-12th): returning students may pick up re-enrollment forms on Friday; 12th-grade registration began Monday; 11th-grade registration is from 10-10:30 a.m. Tuesday; 10th-grade registration is from 11-11:30 a.m. Wednesday; 9th-grade registration is from 1-2 p.m. Thursday; locker rentals are available for $1 for the school year.
