Davis awarded UAPB scholarship

Saige Davis of Pine Bluff was recently awarded a University Scholarship from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Office of Recruitment.

Davis is the daughter of Tommie and Sheila Davis and will graduate this month from Pine Bluff High School. Her main high school activities include being student council vice president, captain of the cheer squad and a member of the art club.

Davis will major in biology at UAPB. She also wants to earn a Master of Science degree in genetic counseling with hopes of one day opening her own practice.

To be eligible for the University Scholarship, a student must have a minimum ACT score of 23 and a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The University Scholarship pays full tuition and room and board.
