The third annual Crime Prevention Day will held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Dale Park in Gould.
The fun-filled day will promote community safety and awareness in reducing crime. Experts will speak about effective crime prevention strategies. The youth will enjoy McGruff the Crime Dog and Smokey the Bear. There will be presentations from the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office, Arkansas Crime Lab, Arkansas Department of Corrections, Arkansas State Police and other organizations.
The Gould Citywide Neighborhood Watch Association is partnering with community leaders, civic organizations, block associations and concerned citizens to sponsor the Crime Prevention Day as a building block to creating and implementing crime prevention initiatives and to show how every citizen can engage in crime prevention.
