HOPE Community Coalition will sponsor a Super Bowl Party for youth from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Boys and Girls Club, 2701 Short Reeker St.
The event is part of the coalition’s observation of National Drug Facts Week, an effort encouraging teenagers to ask questions about drugs and drug abuse.
At the party, youth will be given the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt to put together drug facts and will also share their thoughts about the super bowl ads that promote alcohol use. All youth who participate will receive prizes for their efforts. Refreshments will be served also.
On behalf of the coalition, County Judge Dutch King has proclaimed Jan. 28 through Feb. 3 as National Drug Facts Week, encouraging residents to participate in activities.
