The public is invited to come to the Old Towne area of downtown Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an entertaining time during Bash on Barraque.
The free event will be held at the Barraque Plaza at Pine and Barraque streets. Craft and food vendors will be part of the bash and activities will flow on to the Jefferson County Courthouse parking lot adjacent to Barraque Plaza.
Activities include The Silly Circuit Spiders, a tinkering project sponsored by the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas; face painting by the Pine Bluff High School Arts Club; pedal cars by the National Guard; Kids ID by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department; a bouncy house sponsored by the Pine Bluff police; a fire truck by the Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Department.
Pine Bluff Downtown Development will provide an area for a fall painting project for kids and adults.
A trolley will run from Barraque Plaza to the Civic Center where everyone can enjoy viewing the Fire Department’s Safe House. Along the way, a tour leader will highlight the downtown murals and historic areas of the “heart of the city.”
Bash on Barraque is a project of the Old Towne Committee for Reinventing Downtown Pine Bluff.
