Alderman attends Municipal League convention

Ward 4 Alderman Steven Mays, who serves on the Pine Bluff City Council and as chairman of the Public Works Committee, recently attended the Arkansas Municipal League’s 79th Summer Convention in Hot Springs.

The convention — which was for all mayors, aldermen, city managers, city attorneys and city directors — is part of the League’s Certified Continuing Education program. Attendees received continuing education credit hours toward their 21 hours required to become a Certified Municipal Official. Mays received 1.25 credit hours and has now accumulated 23.25 Certified Continuing Education credit hours within his first two-and-a-half years as Ward 4 alderman.
