Southeast Arkansas College recently announced the recipients of two scholarships.
The recipients of the James and Maude Ryburn Scholarship at SEARK for this academic year, Leigha Long of Rison, Kelli Nelson of Grady and Tracy Liles of Redfield, were recently recognized.
Each year, the Ryburn family contributes to a scholarship in memory of James Ryburn, who was one of the first instructors at SEARK (then Pines Vocational School) and his wife, Maude Ryburn, who taught for years at Gabe Meyer Elementary School in Pine Bluff.
Teshema Woodfork of White Hall, a nursing student at SEARK, was recently recognized as the 2012 fall semester recipient of the Joyce Ragland-Vance scholarship.
The Ragland-Vance scholarship, established in memory of Joyce Ragland-Vance by her family and friends, is a scholarship for an eligible full-time SEARK student in the LPN to RN program.
