April 15 is the deadline to apply for 2012 Arkansas Black Hall of Fame Foundation grants.
These grants are administered by Arkansas Community Foundation and will be awarded to programs that benefit African-American communities and/or other underserved populations in Arkansas through a focus on education, health and wellness, youth development, small business development or economic development.
Since 2004, the Black Hall of Fame Foundation has invested more than $300,000 in grants and community events throughout Arkansas. Grants usually range from $1,000 to $2,500 but may approach $5,000 in special circumstances. Only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply.
Organizations seeking funding can get information on how to apply starting Friday at www.arcf.org.
