18 — The Natural Born Ryders Motorcycle Club/Social Club of Pine Bluff will host its first Back-To-School Bash from 9 a.m. to noon at Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Regional Park. This a free event that is open to the public. School supplies for all ages, free hot dogs and drinks will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. 18 — A Time to Remember Entertainment Inc., will present an Hawaiian sunset dinner cruise, “Cruisin’ For A Cause”, aboard the Arkansas Queen Riverboat. Boarding time is 6:30 p.m. at the North Shore Maritime Center at North Little Rock. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Live entertainment throughout the cruise will be provided by Legoria Payton & Friends. The cruise will end at 9 p.m. Tickets are $45 per person and include a two-hour sunset cruise on the Arkansas River, dinner, dancing and a cash bar. 20 — The Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas, 709 E. Eighth Ave., will host the Caregivers/Alzheimer’s Support Group monthly meeting from 11 a.m. to noon in the main office conference room. In addition to the program, information will be available for each registered attendee and refreshments will be served. 20-21 — The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St., will hold auditions for its production of Robert Fulghum’s “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten” at 6:30 p.m. each day. The center is looking for actors who can convincingly portray people from the ages of 30-65. No experience is necessary, but a high level of energy and commitment are expected. Those who plan to audition are asked to prepare a two-minute narrative story about a life lesson. 21 — The Pine Bluff Quilter’s Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4200 Old Warren Road.
21 — The AARP Driver Safety Program, developed by AARP, will be offered from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, 1600 W. 40th Ave. The cost of the course is $12 for AARP members, $14 for non-members, and $5 for educators during the month of August, payable to AARP at the time of the class. Participants should bring a valid driver’s license and their AARP membership card if they are members. Those interested should call 870-247-4898 to pre-register. The class will be limited to 35 participants.
24-25 — Ram Rodeo Series will sponsor the Summer Showdown Rodeo at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds at Rison. The Summer Showdown Rodeo is sanctioned by the Arkansas Rodeo Association, Cowboys Regional Rodeo Association, and American Professional Rodeo Association.
25-26 — The Governor Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center will hold its Arkansas Hunter Education Course. Participants must attend both days in order to take the final exam. The class is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 25 and from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 26. There is no fee for the program, however, participants must pre-register. 8 — Old Town Theatres Centre will present “An Evening of Dining — Broadway, Jazz and Patsy Cline,” featuring Kayce Glasse, on Sept. 8 at the Pine Bluff Country Club, 1100 Country Club Lane. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 per person and must be purchased in advance. The deadline to purchase tickets is Sept. 4.
