This is a listing of activities of interest to residents of Southeast Arkansas. Anyone who would like to submit entries for consideration may do so in writing to the Entertainment Calendar, P.O. Box 6469, Pine Bluff, Ark., 71611. Since all activities are subject to change, it would be wise to confirm the activity with the sponsoring organization.
23 — The Enchanted Land of Lights & Legends in Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Regional Park is open now through Dec. 31 from 6-9 nightly. There is no admission fee, but donations will be accepted by community volunteers at the end of the tour. For more information, call 870-536-7600.
24 — The Cadillac Club Riders and Queens will give away toys from noon until 3 p.m. at 1715 Linden St. at the clubhouse. Toys will be available for children ages 1 to 12. Children must be present to pick up toys. Supplies will be limited.
28 — Three Rivers Audubon Society will hold a Christmas bird count under the direction of Dr. Rob Doster. After the count, the group will meet to report results. Anyone wishing to participate may register at email@example.com or call Delos McCauley at 870-850-7861.
16 — McGruff the Crime Dog will lead the first community wide march against crime and violence during the 28th annual KingFest Martin Luther King Jr. Marade scheduled for 11 a.m. Participants are asked to develop and display nonviolence messages on floats, cars, banners, and signs. An award will be given for the best nonviolence slogan or message. Churches, social and civic organizations, schools, businesses, elected officials, and candidates seeking public office are invited to join the march against crime and violence on the King Holiday.
