2 — Richard and Kerry Ellen Campbell will present a “Rhythm and Blues Christmas” during the monthly Live@5 series at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St. The event will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for center members and $10 for non-members. 2 — The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will hold its annual Christmas Luncheon and Festival of Tables from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Great Hall of First United Methodist Church, 200 W. Sixth Ave. Tickets for the event, which includes lunch, tablescapes’ viewing, entertainment by the Jenkins Choir and door prizes, are $10 each and may be purchased from any Auxiliary member, at the Pine Bluff Salvation Army Corps office, 501 E. 12th Ave., or at the door on the day of the event. Carry-outs will be available. On the day of the luncheon, the doors will open at 11 a.m. There will be no reserved seating. 2-3 — First Presbyterian Church Day School, 717 W. 32nd Ave., is offering the community the chance to shop for Christmas during its “Christmas Blessings” Fair and Silent Auction fundraiser. The event is scheduled for Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. New to this year’s event will be rummage sale tables with many gently used items for sale. The silent auction will end at 11 a.m. Saturday and participants do not have to be present to win. Details: Call Jane Stone at 870-534-7101.
3 — “A Jazzy Christmas” with Legoria Payton and Friends will be held at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St., at 7:30 p.m., after the Christmas parade. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
3 — The Old Towne Committee for Reinventing Downtown Pine Bluff will present the seventh annual Old Towne Christmas from 4-6 p.m. Activities will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave. The event will include visits with Santa, carriage rides, a balloon artist, magician and musical entertainment. The event is free to the public.
3 — Rita Spillyards, a 30-year former resident of Pine Bluff, is “coming home” to present the November/December book review at 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church, 6501 Hazel St.
4 — The Department of Music at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will present the Vesper Choir in its 58th annual performance of Handel’s “Messiah” at 3 p.m. in the John McLinn Ross Theatre of the Hathaway-Howard Fine Arts Building.
8 — The opening reception for the 2011 Irene Rosenzweig Exhibition will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St. Best of Show will be announced at 6 p.m. The exhibition will be on display from Dec. 2 through Feb. 4, 2012.

8-10 — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2501 Ridgway Road, will present its second annual Créche Festival, “For Unto Us a Child is Born,” from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 8-9 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 10. There will be more than 60 Nativity displays, light refreshments and music. Admission is free.
