Mallory Murphy and Samuel Blue exchange wedding vows


LITTLE ROCK — Wedding vows were exchanged by Mallory Ann Murphy and Samuel Adam Blue at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 15, on the terrace at Pleasant Valley Country Club. Mike High officiated the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Jamie Murphy and Mark Murphy of Little Rock, Ark. She is the granddaughter of David and Pat Michael of Pine Bluff, Carrie Lou Murphy of Dumas, and the late J.W. Murphy of Gould.

The groom is the son of Kipton and Shari Blue of Leawood, Kan. His grandparents are Mildred Jenkins of Kansas City, Mo., the late Don E. Jenkins of Wichita, Kan., Jerry Blue and the late Beverly Blue, both of Wichita, Kan., and the late Marilyn Blue of Palm Desert, Calif.

Vows were exchanged in front of an antique farm table decorated with a rustic urn that was filled with flowering branches, powder pink hydrangeas, quicksand roses, peonies, and seeded eucalyptus. The altar was covered with vintage lanterns and birdcages.

Music was by guitarist Colton Bitely, cousin of the bride, Brett Moore, and vocalist Elizabeth Ann Lepine.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless couture gown with a sweetheart neckline and beaded bodice. Rosettes covered the A-line skirt and train. She carried a hand tied, rounded bouquet of powder pink hydrangeas, white peonies, and white anemones finished with a cream satin ribbon.

Maid of honor was Tara Hardcastle of Fayetteville. Bridesmaids were Courtney Kreul of Prairie Village, Kan., Elyse Zarr of Overland Park, Kan., Alicia Aielo of Dillsburg, Penn., Amanda Blue, sister of the groom, of Leawood, Kan., Elizabeth Ann Lepine of Denver, Colo., Lauren Alford and Susan Gillmor of Kansas City, Mo., Suzanne Boyd of Tulsa, Okla., Andrea Frazier of Oklahoma City, Okla., Lydia Adams and Lorna Porter of Dallas, Texas, and Karis Farish of Little Rock. The bridesmaids wore dusty shale silk chiffon dresses and carried a hand tied bouquet of powder pink hydrangeas.

The flower girl was Kameron Grace Farish of Little Rock.

The groom’s honor attendant was Benjamin Blue of Overland Park, Kan., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Connor Newth and Brian Crouch of Kansas City, Mo., Stephen Blumhardt and Conner Snedden of Dallas, Texas, Rusty Meeks and Steven Murphy of Little Rock, brother of the bride, Luke Siler of Prairie Village, Kan., Andrew Boyd of Tulsa, Okla., Colby Warren of Hot Springs, Quinn Stauffer of Colorado Springs, Colo., John Wilder of Houston, Texas, and Brandon Hermreck of Leawood, Kan.

A reception at Pleasant Valley Country Club followed the ceremony. Music was provided by Brenda and Ellis Band.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will make their home in Prairie Village, Kan.
