Kelli Kennedy of White Hall has been named the new director for the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Clean and Beautiful Commission.
Kennedy replaces Gloria Sumner, who has served as the executive director for more than five years.
Kennedy was born and reared in Pine Bluff and graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1995. She holds an associate degree from Southeast Arkansas College and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in regulatory science-environmental biology at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, with plans to pursue a master’s degree. She volunteered as the green house manager/horticulturist at the Governor Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center in Pine Bluff during the summer of 2012 and recently joined the Kiwanis and the Regulatory Science Club at UAPB.
Kennedy is the daughter of Larry and Jean Jernigan of Heber Springs and Roy and Trish Ferrell of White Hall. She currently resides in White Hall along with her two daughters and fiance’, Tony Ogles.
