The Jefferson County Humane Society needs volunteers to foster dogs. The Humane Society will provide food and medical attention. The foster family will provide shelter and care and receive unconditional love in return. For additional information, call 870-247-2677.
The Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is recruiting volunteers to assist in providing valuable support to victims of rape and domestic violence. Volunteers must be 18 years of age and have their own transportation. To volunteer or obtain additional information, call 870-541-5386.
The Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Public Library is collecting the entire labels from Campbells Soup cans. Place the entire labels in an envelope and drop them in any library book drop. The library also has an ongoing project of collecting aluminum cans. These may be brought to the main library. For additional information, call Dave Burdick Monday through Friday at 870-534-4818.
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is asking people 55 years of age and older to volunteer. There are no joining fees or dues; a person just needs a willingness to lend a helping hand. Call Jon Garrison, project director, at 870-534-2156, ext. 4906.
Volunteer bell ringers are needed to help the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign in Pine Bluff, White Hall, Sheridan and Stuttgart. Groups and individuals may volunteer. Anyone wishing to volunteer or needing additional information may call Travis Creed at 870-534-6133.

Veterans services needs volunteer drivers to transport disabled American veterans to and from Little Rock to the Veterans Administration Hospital. Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) program offers many volunteer opportunities in the Pine Bluff School District. The time and expertise one shares with a student can help him or her become successful in life.
