The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Vesper Choir will present its annual spring concert at 6 p.m. Friday in the J.M. Ross Theatre of the Hathaway-Howard Fine Arts Building on the UAPB campus.
The spring concert program will be a concert of classical choral literature, spirituals, choral jazz and gospel selections. Included on the program will be “Babethandaza,” an arrangement in the Zulu language of a traditional South African song accompanied by African drumming.
The concert will be dedicated to the memory of James “Jimmy” McKissic, internationally famous concert pianist, Vesper Choir and UAPB alumnus.
The concert is free and open to the public.
