Salvation Army Women’s Auxilary welcomes new member

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary welcomed a new member, Kay Richardson, at its recent meeting.

Non-perishable canned goods, such as fruits, vegetables and meats will be brought to the next meeting by Auxiliary members. The Thrift Store, located at 2901 S. Catalpa St., is in need of clothing, furniture and other materials. Capt. Joanna Robinson reported that the Corps is now serving breakfast on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. for anyone who wishes to come.

The Sunday School is competing with itself to “Rock the Kingdom” to increase membership as is the Oklahoma/Arkansas Division. Members were also shown the newly painted gymnasium floor, which will allow more participation for Salvation Army clients. Door prizes were awarded to several members.

The next meeting will be held March 13. Women who are interested in the work of the Auxiliary are invited to attend the meetings.
