Progressive Chapter ABWA celebrates Christmas at recent meeting

Members and guests of Progressive Chapter American Business Women’s Association met recently at the Pine Bluff National Bank, White Hall branch, for their monthly meeting and sack luncheon.

President Linda Eifling presided at the meeting. The chapter’s Family Christmas Party was a success. The food provided by Sandy Acres was very good. Ann Douthit donated a decorated birthday cake in honor of her birthday. Everyone old or young enjoyed playing “Dirty Santa” as a way of exchanging gifts.

The chapter’s community service projects were discussed. Eifling announced that two names from the Salvation Army Angel Tree were chosen for Christmas. Clothes and roller blades were purchased for these children. A Christmas basket was also given to a needy family.

Betsy Foster, Scholarship chairman, reported on the status of the chapter’s scholarship recipients.

Jan Adam, Travel chairman, discussed taking a day trip in January. A day trip to Little Rock was planned.

The dollar pot was won by Betsy Foster and she donated it back to the chapter. Door prizes were won by Jan Adam and Louise LaGrone. Guests at the meeting were Camelia Trejo and Missy Rosen, daughter of member Nancy Rosen.
