Registration is now being held for Photography I classes instructed by Eric Maynard at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas. The classes will be held Thursdays, May 2 through June 6 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Costs will be $85 for members and $105 for non-members.
The class instruction will focus on the basics of your camera, help you get familiar with its many features and functions, and teach you how to control the look of your photographs. Students will learn to understand lighting, shutter speeds and apertures and how to control them to get the look you want in your photos.
The Center, located at 701 Main St. in Pine Bluff, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, and is closed on Sunday. Support for ASC is provided in part by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Hands-on science exhibits are offered through The Center’s partnership with Arkansas Discovery Network, a consortium of seven museums in Arkansas funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
