PEO chapter hears committee reports at recent meeting


PEO Chapter AU/BZ met recently at Lakeside United Methodist Church.

Pam Estes was hostess with 28 members attending. Outgoing president Martha Sue Pearce read the President’s Letter, thanking everyone for their support and highlighting the accomplishments of the year.

Treasurer Lynn Castleberry reported a profit of $1,300 on the pecan sale and $245 on the sale of note cards. Monies will be distributed between six projects.

The slate of new officers for 2013 was presented and voted on favorable. Installation will be next month.

Marji Heart reported on Cottey College, a two-year girls college owned by PEO and located in Nevada, Mo. Ann Hollingsworth discussed the upcoming BIL party and corresponding secretary Marilyn McKelevey read letters from PEO members.

Co-hostesses Rebecca Phillips and Joann Castleberry served ice cream bar cake.
